We have standardized our own financial literacy curriculum that is used in many different venues to empower and educate youths, adults and seniors in securing financial success.

Justice Exposed Program

Industrial Bank started its work with the justice system in 2016 when two bank employees were volunteers with a local non-profit servicing currently and formerly incarcerated individuals. The organization provided an eight-week program that included financial literacy to young men between the ages of 14 and 17 that were housed in the Baltimore City jail charged as adults. In 2018, the Bank partnered with the DC Department of Corrections and worked with men ages 18 – 25 in a specialized group called Young Men Emerging.

We cover topics such as budgeting, the importance of saving and managing credit. Several officers of the Bank spend time with the students sharing their roles with the Bank, including facilities management, Human Resources, IT, Commercial Lending and Legal to name a few.
